Yeghishe Charents on the WorldView Educational Innovative Platform

The Visual Armenia Foundation continues to expand its collaboration with museums, recognizing them as unique spaces that enrich the educational experience. International Museum Day presented a timely opportunity to formalize the Foundation’s partnership with the House-Museum of Yeghishe Charents—one of Armenia’s literary giants.

Fittingly, the 2025 theme of International Museum Day—“The Future of Museums in Rapidly Changing Communities”—highlights the role of museums as custodians of cultural memory and platforms for knowledge transmission. In alignment with this theme, the Charents House-Museum hosted the official launch of the Yeghishe Charents section on the WorldView educational platform on May 17.

“It’s crucial for students to engage deeply and multilayeredly with the legacy of great Armenians during their school years. Our goal is to fully involve children in the learning process and provide opportunities for a competitive 21st-century education. In this regard, museums play a vital role as distinctive educational spaces—and we are committed to close collaboration. I’m proud that through the WorldView platform, students can now immerse themselves in Literature and explore the lives of Armenian writers—in this case, Yeghishe Charents, his life, his passionate work, and his rich legacy,” said Hovhannes Ghazaryan, Director of the Visual Armenia Foundation and creator of the WorldView platform.

“It’s very important for us to follow in the path that Charents himself once took—responding to life’s new challenges with new approaches. Today, that means actively embracing innovative educational models, which we are also striving to implement in the museum setting. We’re grateful to have the WorldView platform as a partner on this journey and are eager to deepen our cooperation—bringing new groups of learners into the museum. I’m confident that the partnership between our institutions will continue to grow,” added Zhanna Manukyan, Director of the Yeghishe Charents House-Museum.

The Yeghishe Charents section on the WorldView platform features 47 articles, including: “The Theme of Patriotism in Charents’ Early Poems,” “Komitas’s Role in Charents’ Life,” “Charents in Europe,” and “The Personal Library of Yeghishe Charents.” Each topic is explored within its historical context, offering students both depth and perspective.

“Each author featured on the WorldView platform offers students the opportunity not only to rediscover their work but also to explore their relationships with other literary and public figures—understanding their roles across time and space. Thanks to our collaboration with the museum, this content has been developed with academic precision. Up next in our literary series: Gurgen Mahari and Stepan Zoryan,” said Ani Yeghiazaryan, Head of the Literature team at Visual Armenia.

The partnership was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Visual Armenia Development Foundation and the Yeghishe Charents House-Museum.

Guests at the event toured the museum, once again connecting with the lasting legacy of Yeghishe Charents.

Background: Staying true to its needs-driven and systemic approach, the Visual Armenia Foundation has responded to requests from the literature teaching community by initiating the development of Armenian Literature as a subject within the WorldView platform. This effort, ongoing for over a year, completes the Armenian Studies track, which already features more than 1,000 articles spanning Armenian History, My Homeland, Geography of Armenia, and Art.
The inclusion of Literature further strengthens the platform’s interdisciplinary approach—empowering both educators and students to explore Armenian history, geography, science, literature, and cultural heritage through a visual and interactive journey across time and space.
