WorldView Innovative Educational Platform Will Also Serve Diaspora Children
On May 7, at the curacy of the Armenian Church in Moscow, a significant collaboration was formalized as His Eminence Archbishop Yezras Nersisyan, Primate of the Diocese, and Hovhannes Ghazaryan, Executive Director of the Visual Armenia Foundation and Founder of the WorldView educational platform, signed a memorandum of cooperation. This agreement means that the diocese’s educational centers will now integrate the **WorldView** platform (accessible at www.brainograph.com ) into their teaching programs.
Mr. Ghazaryan emphasized that while the Foundation had previously introduced WorldView to diaspora teachers through various in-person and online sessions, this agreement establishes a robust foundation for deeper, more impactful cooperation. “Our primary objective,” he stated, “is to ensure that Armenian children, regardless of their country of residence, can meaningfully connect with and recognize our rich history and cultural heritage.” In his blessing, His Eminence praised the platform’s creation, highlighting that fostering children’s national education and upbringing is crucial for the prosperity of both the Armenian homeland and the Church.
The memorandum also outlines plans for sharing experience and comprehensive teacher training initiatives. During the meeting, attended by Reverend Father Ghevond Tyomkin, Rector of the newly inaugurated St. Grigor Lusavorich Seminary in Saint Petersburg, as well as the administration and educators from Moscow’s St. Grigor Narekatsi School and the St. Nerses Shnorhali Children’s Home, Mr. Ghazaryan presented a detailed overview of the WorldView educational platform.
He showcased its extensive repository of educational materials on Armenian History, Geography, Armenian Literature, and World History. These resources are dynamically enhanced with digital maps, images and photos, engaging videos, and a suite of interactive tools. According to Ghazaryan, the online educational platform has continuously evolved over the years, now featuring approximately 5,000 academic materials. These articles are meticulously crafted from diverse and reliable sources, and their number is steadily growing. The WorldView platform serves as an invaluable resource not only for schoolchildren but also for anyone interested in Armenian culture and history, including international Armenologists. Its intuitive search functionality allows users to effortlessly access comprehensive materials, complete with relevant visuals.
Currently, over 4,000 teachers in Armenia use the WorldView platform to enrich their lessons. They effectively employ its visual resources to present complex concepts, illustrate the territories and borders of neighboring countries, and share interesting details related to the lives of Armenian writers, among many other educational applications.
Concluding the meeting, His Holiness Yezras conveyed profound appreciation and offered his blessing. He underscored that the WorldView platform represents a significant innovation within the educational system, anticipating that its integration into schools will elevate the quality of instruction. This, he noted, will undoubtedly foster greater interest and active participation among children, facilitating a more effortless assimilation of knowledge.
