Smart Boards from a Soldier: Empowering Generations
From Grigor Ghazaryan to Empower Generations: “Don’t mark me absent…” The parents of Grigor Ghazaryan, who sacrificed his life in the 44-day Artsakh War, have donated a smart board to Nikol Aghbalyan School No. 19 as part of the Visual Armenia Development Foundation’s WorldView Educational Program.
Grigor’s parents’ initiative to equip the new generation with modern educational technology carries a profound message: the protection and empowerment of future generations through high-quality education.
The Visual Armenia Development Foundation is honored to be entrusted with delivering this message and maximizing the impact of the gift through the WorldView program. Visual Armenia complements the smart board donation with high-quality educational content, teacher training, and active participation in the WorldView community activities.
Grigor’s mother, Flora Verdian, believes her son would have been excited to learn the history and geography of his beloved homeland through these new technologies. “We want future generations to acquire knowledge, learn their history, and love their homeland, and wish to provide them with this opportunity… We found a note on his computer that read, ‘All expressions of love find their essence in the love for one’s homeland.'”
Hovhannes Ghazaryan, Director of Visual Armenia, remarked that Grigor is the embodiment of a patriotic young man—someone who knew his homeland and protected it. “It is no coincidence that his parents chose to donate a smart board to the school to empower future generations. To develop competitive human capital, we must first invest in the tools that shape the educational environment and make learning more effective.”
We believe that a generation receiving quality education will become the creators and guardians of future victories. Every day, we remain committed to transforming and advancing Armenia’s educational landscape.
