New cohort of 91 teachers joined the community of WorldView certified teachers
The 4th cycle of the WorldView three-month training program concluded with a ceremonial event, where out of more than 250 teachers from all regions of Armenia, 91 were awarded the earned certificate.
Staying true to the “Learn, Apply, Share” motto and being unique in format, the three-month training once again provided our teachers the opportunity not only to learn the toolkit of the innovative WorldView educational platform, new methods and techniques for lesson planning but also to apply knowledge and share new experiences with the more than 250 fellow participants of the course.
Hovhannes Ghazaryan, the Executive Director of the Visual Armenia Development Foundation and the Founder of the WorldView educational platform, welcomed the guests and emphasized that one of the Foundation’s three strategic directions is teacher empowerment, as the impact of a teacher is present in every field of a nation’s progress. It is important to make the innovative educational environment accessible and applicable to every teacher regardless of their location and starting conditions.
“We believe in the ideology of determining the fate of the nation through education, and you teachers are at the forefront of its realization. This is a clearly visible formula for our team. Your success is the success of all of us. In the establishment and development of the teacher’s institute, I see the transformation of our country and the formation of an Armenia that will unwaveringly follow the path of victory,” said the Foundation’s Director, adding all conditions are there to have the best educational system in this age of technological advancement.
Nina Ghuloian, the principal of the Gavar High School in the Gegharkunik region, confirmed that the cornerstone of victory lies in creating a strong educational environment. “The states that have a strong education system do not need an army because they have already conquered the world. We have the greatest resource—our children, who are intelligent. Yes, this resource is in poor conditions, and it is very difficult to develop and turn it into a diamond, but organizations like the Visual Armenia Foundation are the “miners” who are not afraid of the rock crashing or the dark environment and are ready to work, find, develop, and show this resource to the world,” she said.
Arevik Avetisyan, the WorldView program manager noted that during the 4th round of the three-month training 23 sessions were held. “The teachers’ activity was so active that we added several more sessions. Certificates were awarded to teachers who not only learn and apply but also come forward as speakers,” she noted, emphasizing that the methodological core of the three-month training is the state standards implemented in the general education sector.
Abraham Avagyan, a teacher from the Karnut Secondary School in the Shirak region, also emphasized that the three-month training program provided the opportunity to become a teacher ready to face the challenges of the 21st century through quality education. “Now, more than ever it is critical to have a knowledgeable generation who love their homeland and have the feeling of ownership and we as teachers bear the most responsibility for that. The knowledge gained and the experience accumulated during the course will help all of us be better prepared and have more enriching lessons”.
Olik Tosunyan, a teacher from the Vardan Mkrtchyan Secondary School in Hovtashen, Ararat region, noted that WorldView has changed her professional activity. “The three-month course gave me the opportunity to apply modern technologies, ensuring differentiated teaching, but the most important point I want to emphasize is the WorldView team. They not only listen to the problems of the teacher and the learner but also offer solutions,” said the teacher.
Dear teachers, congratulations to you. We thank you for your trust in the values of the Foundation and our team, as well as for your engagement. Together we can create an innovative public educational environment that meets the modern requirements. To action.
