Visual Armenia Foundation Launches SYNTHESIS: A Non-Formal Educational Program for Teachers

We’re thrilled to announce that the Visual Armenia Foundation has developed SYNTHESIS, a new transformative non-formal education program designed for teachers committed to advancing their methods, adopting innovative approaches, cultivating essential 21st-century skills, mastering essay writing instruction, and becoming confident educators in the digital age.

SYNTHESIS is officially endorsed by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia as a modular supplementary education program. It offers an excellent opportunity for teachers applying for professional certification to enrich their methodological toolkit and gather the required documentation.

State Reimbursement & Eligibility

The course is open to all educators in general education—including teachers from schools, colleges, and vocational institutions—regardless of subject area.

Why SYNTHESIS?

SYNTHESIS refers to the purposeful process of combining scattered knowledge, materials, or concepts into a unified whole. This program brings together a wide range of tools and approaches that support the professional development of 21st-century teachers, including modules on competency-based teaching, media literacy, classroom management, and leadership.

Program Modules

• Module 1 – Developing 21st-Century Skills (8 hours) Equips teachers with tools and strategies to foster key 21st-century competencies and grow as competitive professionals in a changing educational landscape.
• Module 2 – Teaching Essay Writing (6 hours) Builds teachers’ ability to effectively teach essay writing, evaluate student essays, and provide constructive feedback.
• Module 3 – Teaching in a Digital World: Enhancing Digital Skills (10 hours) Strengthens digital competencies to support more effective teaching in today’s evolving digital environment.

All participants will receive a certificate of completion, which can be included in their professional certification application package.
