Mandatory in Progress: Nearly 400 Teachers Undergoing Training at Visual Armenia Foundation

In early June, the Visual Armenia Foundation launched its mandatory training sessions for teachers preparing for Levels 2 and 3 certification. The comprehensive program covers key areas essential for modern teaching:
- 21st-century skills
- Resource management
- Information and Communication Technologies (ICT)
- Lesson and course planning
- Learning assessment
- Teaching methods, strategies, and interdisciplinary connections
At the heart of the program is its core goal: equipping teachers with practical, methodological tools to foster students’ critical thinking, soft skills, and practical competencies. By focusing on hands-on approaches, the training empowers educators to bring 21st-century learning to life in their classrooms.
“To achieve this, we’ve designed a specialized program that includes theoretical, practical, and reinforcement components,” says Arevik Avetisyan, Head of the WorldView Program. “Individualized support is often needed, and we place great importance on both the quality of content and its delivery. All training sessions—whether online or in person—are closely monitored, allowing us to regularly make adjustments and improvements as needed.”
The program’s impact is already evident. “Many teachers who trained with us last year chose to return, and motivated their colleagues to join. This strong demand led us to expand our trainer team. In ICT training especially, we work in small groups to ensure the best outcomes,” adds Ani Hovhannisyan, Coordinator of Mandatory Trainings.
For the Foundation’s team, teacher feedback is essential. “Each time, I share with my school how much we learn here—and how professional and respectful your approach is. I’m sure more of our teachers will apply,” shared one participant who recently completed their course hours.
These training sessions are more than a certification requirement—they’re an invaluable opportunity for educators to grow as modern professionals, exchange experience with peers, and gain new tools to enrich their teaching practice.
The Foundation will continue its training sessions in August and October.
