WorldView student Ambassadors at the Visual Armenia Foundation
“We propose to have a collaboration so that we can be trained and conduct seminars for students of different schools, presenting the WorldView platform: this was the proposal made to Visual Armenia by 11th graders from Yerevan’s Ghevond Alishan No. 95 Secondary School.
The time from the cooperation proposal to the meeting itself was short – we were eager to host the motivated students and their teachers. As we expected, the meeting with them took place in a lively, enthusiastic, and pleasantly noisy atmosphere, just as it would be in school.
Hovhannes Ghazaryan, Director of the Visual Armenia Foundation and Founder of the WorldView educational innovative platform, noted that he appreciates the students’ initiative, and the team is always ready to proceed with those proposals that imply specific actions.
“I believe in the creative power of cooperation. We lack a culture of working together effectively . Visual Armenia values this because we are the bearers of that culture and want it not only to be inside our team but also to spread beyond its borders. That’s why when you proposed to cooperate, we gladly decided to use that opportunity and together strive for tangible” he said.
The future economists, politicians, lawyers, and art representatives who visited us noted that WorldView has given them the opportunity not only to acquire new knowledge but also to view history from a different perspective. This is why they want to contribute to the spread of the platform and make all other students become members of this big family. The schoolchildren have already started spreading the platform, for example, by teaching lower grade students how to use it and conducting classes. The work is also facilitated by the smart screen won in our competition. The classroom where the latest technology is installed is always occupied; students use it in turns.
During the meeting, our guests also did practical work, answering questions about what other subjects and opportunities they would like to see on the platform, which tools of WorldView they like and which ones they would like to see improved, and what expectations they have from the platform. We have gladly collected the bright and innovative ideas of the students, for the implementation of which we will cooperate with them.
We have already developed the upcoming work, the details of which we will present soon. We are excited that the schoolchildren themselves consider the platform as their own and prioritize its growth, proclaiming themselves as WorldView “ambassadors”. They mentioned that they are ready to do everything to make the platform accessible not only in Armenia but also worldwide, making our state known by that, too. Hovhannes Ghazaryan welcomed this approach, emphasizing that WorldView is the result of Armenian thought and work.
By the way, Yura Manucharyan, a student from Zovuni’s Rubik Baghdasaryan Secondary School, also joined our meeting. He had recently met Hovhannes Ghazaryan, the Foundation’s head during another event and arranged to visit our Foundation when the opportunity arose.
Visual Armenia aims to form focus groups to identify what needs to be changed on the platform and how to develop it through their work. This will also allow us to look at our work “through different lenses” and contribute to the development of new directions. The meeting with the Ambassador students was the first step on that path, for which we express our sincere gratitude to them for the initiative.
We are glad that the future of our country is in the hands of such bright, radiant, hardworking, patriotic, and purposeful young people. We are ready to save no energy and resources so that all their potential is unleashed both for their own benefit and for the strengthening of our state.
Dear students and education stakeholders, we once again reaffirm our readiness to meet with you, discuss and develop formats for joint work to create the best possible educational system together. We look very much forward to your proposals.
