Exploring the Future of Education: Foundation CEO, Hovhannes Ghazaryan shares insights from the 30th Annual Digital Learning Conference in Berlin

Hovhannes Ghazaryan, CEO of the Visual Armenia Foundation and founder of the Worldview educational innovation platform, recently participated in the 30th Annual Global Conference and Exhibition on Digital Learning, themed “Shaping the Future of Learning,” held in Berlin from November 27-29. This event brought together 2,500 participants from around the world, focusing on the latest developments in educational technologies. The conference aims to be a global platform for dialogue and research in digital learning, providing opportunities to explore emerging technologies, share best practices, and foster innovative ideas.
Reflecting on his experiences at the conference, Hovhannes Ghazaryan stated:
“It was incredibly enriching to spend several days fully immersed in a space dedicated to educational innovation and technology. With participants from over 70 countries, primarily from Europe, there was so much to see, learn, and analyze. One of the most striking realizations was that even developed European nations are actively searching for solutions. There’s a shared concern about how educational systems can adapt to rapidly changing technologies and leverage them effectively. Questions arise, such as: Where do we draw the line when it comes to digitalizing education? What opportunities do technologies offer, and what risks do they pose? These answers are still unclear and require further exploration.”
“Overall, I sensed that finding innovative tech solutions to address educational needs in a systematic way and implementing them effectively is a significant challenge. This ongoing quest for targeted solutions is one that many developed countries are still navigating, as they haven’t yet found the best paths forward. In this landscape of pursuing effective technological solutions in public education, I believe Armenia has the potential to lead with groundbreaking initiatives, with WorldView potentially taking its place among them.”
“Artificial intelligence was, of course, in the spotlight this year. It was interesting to see that many see real risks alongside opportunities, particularly regarding the hyper-personalization and isolation of education through artificial intelligence.”
“My key takeaway is that introducing innovation in education is not just desirable; it’s inevitable. Transformative growth through these innovations is entirely achievable. To make this happen, we need to closely monitor global changes in the field, assess their effectiveness, and also recognize our unique challenges. It’s vital to approach these challenges creatively and explore holistic solutions that can truly make a difference.”
