Start of the Spring: 123 Certified Teachers Joined the WorldView Community

The first day of spring was marked by the closing ceremony of the 5th cycle of the WorldView three-month training program. The gathering welcomed 75 teachers from various regions of Armenia who had traveled to the capital after months of participating in weekly Friday sessions—learning, applying new methods, and sharing their experiences.

“Throughout the three-month training, we had the opportunity to observe numerous lessons conducted by our colleagues using WorldView, enjoy a warm pedagogical atmosphere, and engage in valuable knowledge exchange,” shared Henrietta Hovhannisyan, Director of Zoravan Secondary School in Kotayk Province and a literature teacher. “These were some of the most inspiring months, filled with mutual encouragement and professional growth. This truly unique program served as a platform for developing practical skills and mastering pedagogy through innovative models.”

The much-anticipated event began with a welcoming speech by Hovhannes Ghazaryan, Director of the Visual Armenia Foundation and creator of the WorldView educational platform. He addressed the WorldView teaching community and their students—some of whom were present to personally congratulate their teachers on receiving their certificates.

“The deeper we immerse ourselves in our work, the more we realize that progress is impossible without innovation, dedication, and relentless effort. You are the driving force behind a stronger Armenia, both today and in the future. Our mission, along with like-minded organizations, is to stand by Armenian teachers, tackle challenges together, refine solutions, and empower both educators and our public education system. Investing in education may not yield immediate results, but we are confident that it is the path to long-term development,” said Mr. Ghazaryan, expressing gratitude to both his team and the Foundation’s primary supporter, philanthropist Christine Simone, President of the Manoogian Simone Foundation.

Teachers attending the event shared their impressions:

“WorldView arrived at just the right time, amidst educational reforms in Armenia. In some grades, textbooks were unavailable, and it became a true lifeline,” noted Astghik Galstyan, a history teacher at Yerevan’s No. 115 High School named after S. Hovsepyan.

“The impact of WorldView on the organization of Armenia’s educational process is undeniable. Every teacher who has used this platform would agree—it has become our guide and assistant in lesson planning. I want to express my gratitude to the WorldView team for identifying core educational challenges and providing modern solutions,” emphasized Mary Sardaryan, a history teacher at Yerevan’s No. 190 High School named after G. Gulbenkian.

Tatev Hayrapetyan, a geography teacher at Yerevan’s No. 122 Basic School named after Al. Blok, highlighted the platform’s role in meeting key educational requirements: “It facilitates inclusive education, differentiated instruction, collaborative learning, and the development of 21st-century skills. It enhances lesson effectiveness, saves time, improves digital literacy, fosters creativity and analytical thinking in students, and strengthens their connection to Armenian heritage. Ultimately, using this platform elevates the teacher’s role and credibility.”

Almast Gasparyan, a history teacher at No. 2 Secondary School in Karmirgugh, Gegharkunik Province, noted that their school has gained extensive experience in using WorldView, with multiple trained teachers and even a smart board earned through the program: “The WorldView educational platform is a significant contribution to modern learning environments. It merges technology with education, improving teaching quality and advancing society. The existence of such platforms gives hope that future generations will receive more accessible, diverse, and high-quality education.”

As a result of the 5th cycle of the WorldView three-month training program, 123 teachers were awarded certificates. Among them, 19 received Level 2 certification, while 8 achieved Level 3. Participants not only mastered WorldView’s innovative tools but also learned a wide range of new lesson-planning techniques, applied their knowledge, and shared experiences with approximately 300 colleagues throughout the course.
Dear teachers, congratulations and thank you for your dedication, engagement, and for sharing our values. Let’s move forward together!
