Seminars for “Ashkharatsuyts” educational program

Visual Armenia Development Foundation in April, May and June organized seminars for around two hundred history teachers from different schools of Armenia within the framework of “Ashkharatsuyts” educational program.

The participants also learned about the future improvements of the platform and gave their feedback to be considered in further development of the platform.

Hovhannes Ghazaryan, the Executive Director of the Foundation, in his introductory remarks suggested:  “Armenia is currently in a very challenging geopolitical situation. Addressing these challenges is only possible by developing a competitive human capital as the most valuable resource. Innovations play a great role in the modern world to help increase the efficiency of educational systems and thus unleash human potential. We have created the “Ashkharhatsuyts” educational program exactly with this in mind.  This can help Armenian children become competitive in theri knowledge acquisition that is compatible with the 21st century educational process and eventually build better competences. Our goal is to make our teachers stronger, give them advanced tools of teaching in the technology-driven world.  It is you, the teachers, who carry the daily burden of educating and growing a new generation of conscious, capable and responsible citizens”.

Lilit Mkrtchyan, PhD, who is the co-founder of “EduArmenia” and is partnering with the Foundation, spoke about the compatibility of the  “Ashkharhatsuyst”  with the Government approved educational requirements, providing with tips on how to efficiently use the platform.

The workshops will be held regularly, giving opportunities to more teachers to be involved in the process and organize their classes through innovative technologies, which will be interactive, engaging and efficient. With “Ashkharhatsuyts” innovative educational platform one can showcase any historic event or name between time and space, allowing teachers to visualize their words and deliver the lesson in a more interesting manner for students.

The National Center for Educational Development and Innovation (NCEDI) has given a professional conclusion that “Ashkharhatsuyts” innovative platform may be used as an interactive tool in public schools in delivering and teaching the history subject.
