Introducing the UNDP Climate Box in WorldView

Through the collaboration between the Visual Armenia Foundation and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), a portion of the Climate Box educational content has been integrated into the WorldView platform (EdTech: brainograph.com).

The topic “The Challenge of Climate Change” is now available-enriched with specially developed maps, an interactive timeline, dedicated thematic categories, visual materials, and complementary learning resources. All of this is presented within an interdisciplinary framework, enabling exploration across subjects and contexts.

On March 17, WorldView Program Lead Arevik Avetisyan and geography trainer Ani Hovhannisyan presented the outcomes of this collaboration at the UNDP Climate Box program’s final workshop, sharing the work completed, initial results, and next steps.

The initiative was met with strong interest from participating teachers, professional communities, and UNDP program leadership.

As highlighted during the presentation, the core challenge in climate education today is not the lack of information, but its transformation into applicable knowledge-knowledge that becomes part of everyday learning and can lead to behavioral change.

In this context, the team demonstrated how Climate Box content can be adapted into a digital environment, making it:

  • accessible to a wider audience,
  • applicable in everyday classroom practice,
  • and integrable across multiple subjects (including geography, science, and history).

This collaboration highlights a clear complementarity: Climate Box provides a strong content foundation, while WorldView enables its use as an interactive learning environment-supporting integration and further scaling.

The workshop was attended by the local leadership of the UNDP Climate Box program, as well as Regional Programme Manager Petra Valastinova and international evaluation expert Raul Guerrero.
