TeachCup 2024: Celebrating Knowledge and Collaboration!
On December 14, the inaugural TeachCup Intellectual Competition was held at the AGBU Headquarters in Yerevan, featuring the format of the renowned “What? Where? When?” game—an intellectual team-based quiz that tests participants’ ability to answer intricate questions within a limited time.. The event was organized by the KASA Swiss Humanitarian Foundation with support from the Visual Armenia Foundation, AGBU, Shtigen Group of Companies and other partners.
TeachCup brought together the first 15 teams of passionate educators from across Armenia, who voluntarily applied to participate, for a day of collaboration, knowledge, and camaraderie. Over 70 participating teachers embraced the opportunity to step away from their daily routines, showcase their analytical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, and enjoy an enriching experience of high-quality intellectual entertainment.
As part of the awards, the Visual Armenia Foundation provided the “WorldView on the Teacher’s Desk” manual to the libraries of all 15 participating schools. Additionally, exclusive training sessions on 21st-century teaching skills, provided by Visual Armenia, were awarded to the three winning teams: 1st place – the “STEM” team representing the NPUA Basic School of Natural Sciences, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics; 2nd place – the “MSKH” team from the “Mkhitar Sebastatsi” Educational Complex; and 3rd place – the “DCD” team from the Dilijan Central School Educational Foundation. These sessions aim to inspire and empower educators with innovative strategies for modern teaching using the WorldView educational platform.
