WorldView at the Pedagogical Ideas Festival

For the first time, the Pedagogical Ideas Festival left the “borders” of Yerevan: the open-air event was held at the secondary school in Tatev, Syunik region. The choice of the place and the date was symbolic – on April 27, 2021, the Republic of Mountainous Armenia was proclaimed in the Tatev monastery. The breath of history was also in the air at the event. The festival started with ethnographic songs and dances.

The Pedagogical Ideas Festival was organized by the “Global Bridge” educational complex and the “Tatev” scientific and educational complex. There are no restrictions on the program, the number of participants, experience or any other limitations, the important aspect is to suggest a new idea and have a new say in the field of education. The purpose of the festival is to create live communication between teachers, people interested in education, creators of educational products and to encourage the use of professional experience and innovative ideas.

This was the second time Visual Armenia Foundation took part in the Festival showcasing its unique program the “WorldView”. Hovhannes Ghazaryan, director of the foundation and the founder of the WorldView, noted in his speech that the festival is an opportunity not only to present one’s own product, but also to collect feedback. “We strongly believe that education is the oot that will nurture our country and our next generation into becoming the best. But to do this, we need to discover the potential of our country, whichI believe is limitless. We just need to find the right way to educate, and in this sense, the Pedagogical Ideas Festival will give us the opportunity to discover new ways of education, one of which, we are sure, is the WorldView program,” said Hovhannes Ghazaryan.

The main supporter and friend of Visual Armenia Foundation, President of the Manoogian Simone Foundation, philanthropist Christine Simone also got acquainted with the programs and ideas of the festival. In one of the classroom-pavilions, she was told how to give new life to old soft toys, and another group presented the program created for students with hearing problems. She was particularly impressed by the fact that the students were not just participants, but the ones who brought to life many of the innovative ideas presented at the festival.

The students were also very active in the WorldView classroom. They helped teacher trainers, Haykanush Ghevondyan and Naira Yerkanyan to present the features and the functionality of the platform to the guests. At the end of the event, the WorldView team summarized the results with satisfaction: more than 180 participantes had registered.

This time, the educational festival had more than 400 participants from Yerevan and almost all the regions of Armenia. At the end of the event, the three best participants were selected by online voting: Kapan no. 3 special school, Tatev secondary school and Kapan no. 1 basic school. The next festival will take place in Tavush.
