More than 60 teachers attended regional workshop held in Ararat
On November 18, Visual Armenia Development Foundation in partnership with the National Center for Education Development and Innovation held the seventh regional free workshop on learning and using the educational innovative program Ashkharatsuyts in Nor Kyank village’s Nor Kyank secondary school.
The purpose is to help teachers acquire knowledge on how to use the platform, adapt it in the classroom and also develop their teaching skills.
“I believe that Ashkharatsuyts addresses numerous challenges faced by teachers, such as efficiently preparing for lessons in a short time, delivering comprehensive and engaging lessons, and keeping students constantly engaged in the subject, etc. This is attested by feedback from teachers themselves. Our aim is to simplify the daily tasks of teachers by leveraging innovative technologies and, of course, to equip them with the essential skills for the 21st century”, said Hovhannes Ghazaryan, Executive Director of Visual Armenia Development Foundation, the author of Ashkharatsuyts.
“After each regional workshop, we are consistently impressed by the enthusiasm and eagerness to learn demonstrated by teachers in Armenia. We are delighted that Ashkharatsuyts serves as a stimulus for their motivation”, said Arevik Avetisyan, Program Director of “Ashkharatsuyts”.
“From our own experience we understand the crucial importance for teachers to communicate with 21st century kids in 21st century language. All methods and skills that we share during regional workshops have been personally tested by us and are actively integrated into our own teaching approaches”, said trainer teacher Haykanush Ghevondyan.
During the workshop the participant teachers strengthened their theoretical knowledge through practical tasks as well. The teachers left the workshops empowered with sufficient skills to conduct their teaching according to modern educational standards and become competent in using this innovation in the classroom.
Visual Armenia Development Foundation together with the National Center for Education Development and Innovation has launched a series of regional workshops on learning and using the educational innovative platform Ashkharatsuyts since April 2023.
Ashkharatsuyts (available at brainorgaph.com) is an innovative educational program, which is implemented by the generous support of the Manoogian Simone Foundation. The program is designed to transform the teaching and learning in schools through content visualization and interaction.
